Genisys Project Strategy (GPS) is
the Genisys’ strategy for delivering software-based
solutions. GPS is a set of best practices, a project management
technique and a strategy for building software-based solutions.
It defines how Genisys approaches, manages, and builds technical
solutions. GPS is a proven approach to the development and
integration of major business systems, providing the total
direction to ensure that a quality product is delivered on
time and within budget. There are five core principles to
the GPS.
- The success of a solution requires that
all parties fully understand the business problems that
the solution is to solve.
- Software-based solutions should be built
systematically. This means that successful solutions are
rooted in proven software architectural concepts.
- In order for the design, construction,
and delivery of a solution to be clearly monitored and effectively
managed, it must be structured into predetermined checkpoints
and tasks.
- Solutions must be constructed in short,
incremental cycles that validate and refine requirements
via constant interaction with all interested parties.
- Management of risk, cultural change,
system configuration, and client expectations should be
addressed throughout an engagement.
GPS provides a consistent work environment
for our consultants across all types of projects no matter
the client or technology. There are three components of the
GPS, each with a common set of checkpoints and roles allowing
our consultants to more easily move from project to project.
The Solution Management Strategy (SMS) is
our proven approach for managing software-based solutions.
It contains a process, advisements, and a set of tools to
help Genisys Consulting Managers lead and manage client engagements.
SMS defines the checkpoints and roles to allow the Consulting
Managers to effectively manage a project’s deliverables,
resources, timelines and budgets.
The Solution Development Strategy (SDS)
is an iterative solution building process within the Genisys
Project Strategy framework. SDS guides Genisys Consultants
in building technical solutions through prototyping, designing,
coding and testing smaller pre-defined components of an application.
This approach promotes a more successful implementation in
a shorter amount of time.
Solution Best Practices (SBP) is a continuously
evolving set of methods and tools that help our consultants
successfully implement our solutions. It is a dynamic compendium
of common practices, techniques and patterns that provides
advisement on many levels to Genisys Consultants, Consulting
Managers and strategic partners. SBS provides a compelling
added value that differentiates Genisys from its competition.
