Genisys Consulting, Inc. Wins Microsoft Office XP Solutions Challenge

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (May 29, 2001) -- Microsoft today announced that Genisys Consulting, Inc. is the Midwest District winner of its Office XP Solutions Challenge. Dave Stewart, vice president of sales for Genisys, will join Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer on stage at the United Center on May 31, when Microsoft launches Office XP, the most extensive upgrade to its Office Suite ever.

Microsoft challenged its "Microsoft Certified Partners" in the Midwest District to develop a solution to a business problem using Office XP and its related components. Genisys Consulting's winning solution is a Customer Relationship, Collaboration and Process Automation Solution that enables Genisys to respond quicker to business opportunities by automating the sales and fulfillment processes. The solution was built on Office XP, leveraging features such as smart tags and Office Web components, and integrating products such as SharePoint Portal Server, MapPoint 2001, Windows CE, Exchange 2000, and SQL Server 2000.

"We invited our partners to participate in the challenge because they are leaders in the area of utilizing software to solve complex business problems," said Jeff Braun, Microsoft Midwest partner manager. Genisys will compete against the other 18 district winners from around the country in the Office XP National Solutions Challenge next month at Microsoft headquarters in Redmond, Washington.
